very nice yin and yang emotion flowing from the picture, with the background, the border, and the character in blackand white, not to mention the specific placement of the b/w in the border & background, but also the color of the red blood, contrasting the black and white body and wings. nice style, consistant shading. great job.

Thanks. That's sort of what I was going for. I guess it's sort of a representation of the cliched evil and good that exists within a single being. And he's trapped in the gray area between. It may be old news, but I find the internal struggle between the two polar opposites fascinating.
